Pastor Dwayne Schroeder was born on October 30, 1954 in Worthington, MN. He was raised on a farm and credits all that God taught him there for his ability to minister to (serve) the variety of people he meets in the many and various circumstances encountered. Dwayne has been active in serving the triune God as a pastor for 16 years. His pastoral career began in July 1991 after graduating from Concordia Seminary of St. Louis, and he constantly asks God to use him daily in His mission of making disciples. Dwayne’s personal mission statement is "Show others who Christ is as you daily Serve and Share Christ."

Pastor Schroeder married Sherrie Valentin on July 9, 1977. Sherrie’s marital faithfulness for 31 years, plus her support and encouragement for the past 16 years has been a blessing to Dwayne’s ministry in the churches he served in Nebraska, Minnesota, and Oklahoma. Dwayne and Sherrie have three children: Nathan who is 18 years old and beginning his college career in Phoenix, AZ, Caitlin who is 16 years old and a Junior at Redeemer Lutheran Academy, and Jacob who is 12 years old and a 7th grader at Redeemer Lutheran Academy.

Pastor Schroeder enjoys helping others where he can and by whatever he can do. He doesn’t always take time for himself, but when he does he enjoys construction projects, walks and shooting hoops, and reading a good book. He enjoys a good cup of coffee and the opportunities given him to share the Good News about Christ and Him crucified on the cross for the forgiveness of sin.

Dwayne would enjoy hearing from you or meeting with you personally. He believes that he can learn from anyone he talks with and be edified by their life and faith experiences. He prays that Christ will keep his as well as your hearts ‘Ablaze’ in sharing God’s love.
