What We Believe
The Sacraments
We are a Word and Sacrement church, believing that there are two Sacraments (Holy Baptism and Holy Communion) which are sacred acts, established by God in which God's Word is joined with a visible element (water, bread and wine) by which the blessings of forgiveness and salvation are given.
The Trinity
We believe in the Triune God, the Father Who Created us, the Son Who Redeemed us, and the Holy Spirit Who Sanctifies us keeping us holy.
The Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God (God breathed upon men) which is absolute truth.
Eternal Salvation
We believe Eternal Salvation is a gift of God to those who believe in Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinity, the only Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, Who suffered and died on the cross for the forgiveness of sin. We believe Eternal Salvation is given to believers by grace, through faith, on account of Christ.
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12), with Christ as the Head and members being the body with a variety of talents used to serve God and our neighbors, giving glory to God through all that we do and say.
God's relations with humans
We believe God is actively involved in His relationship with us. God is a gracious, loving, merciful God, providing for all our needs, protecting us from evil, preserving us to live with Him eternally in heaven. God is forgiving and readily restores and renews His relationship with the repentant.
