Pastor Gary Rohwer was raised in California where he grew up working along with his dad on his father’s citrus ranch. He went on to graduate from Concordia University Irvine, and later from Concordia Seminary Fort Wayne. Gary and Grace met in Irvine and were married in 1984. They served with LCMS World Mission as missionaries in Nigeria from 1987-1993, after which Pastor Rohwer began Ph.D. studies at Fort Wayne, earning his doctorate in Islamic studies in 2006. From 1996 to 2006 Pastor Gary and Grace served the Iranian and Gypsy communities in Los Angeles, CA, planting Good News for All Nations Lutheran Church. They then relocated to the Detroit area where Pastor Rohwer served as Director of Ministries for POBLO, People of the Book Lutheran Outreach, where he supported missionaries across the U.S. in bringing the Gospel to Arab and other Middle Eastern immigrants. Through the years, Grace has worked alongside Gary in teaching ESL (English as a second language) and in Friendship Evangelism. She also blessed the ministry greatly through her music. Pastor Gary and Grace have been blessed with four children, Anna, Amy, Rachael, and Nathan.
Delores Withers has been the Administrative Assistant for the church since October of 2005. Her family moved to Bethany, OK when she was 10 years old from Geronimo, OK. They attended Lutheran Church of Our Savior that very first Sunday in Bethany in January 1975. Delores graduated from Yukon High School in 1982 and was working for Continental Federal Savings and Loan. She held many positions at the bank over her ten years of employment with them. The savings and loan was sold in receivership the summer of 1991 and she resigned in November of that same year with the title of Assistant Branch Manager.
Delores met her husband Dave, who was stationed at Tinker AFB with the AWACS, in 1989 at choir practice and were married in April of 1991 and currently reside in Mustang, OK. They have two adult children, Betty and Matthew.
Delores enjoys playing the organ, singing in the choir, and visiting with friends and family.
